Design Wall Monday

I'm a day late but yesterday didn't go as planned, of course. Here's what's on my design wall:
This pattern is called Carriage House by Pat Speth.

And the other side:
This is an Irish Chain from Bonnie Hunter's website, Quiltville.com. This is a pattern she mentioned in her Enders and Leaders article. There are no actual instructions but it wasn't hard to figure out. It just needs a border, then it's ready to quilt.

All a part of my effort to reduce the amount of scraps I have.

Your scrappy Irish Chain is the second one I've seen in the last few days. An Irish Chain is on my to do list, someday, and now I'm leaning more toward scrappy.

I like this one... decidedly un-green! The scrappy Irish Chain is very "friendly", especially since it is made up of scraps from your other quilts - that way you get to keep some of the fabrics you like (and some you don't, of course!) without having to keep the entire quilt -
CONGRATS !!! I'm so pleased you got "BEST IN SHOW" at the Sonoma Co. Fair! Your quilts are AWESOME!!!
