Design Wall Monday

A new project today! This block is called Hot Cross Buns and it's from Bonnie Hunter's Addicted to Scraps column in the Nov/Dec 2010 issue of Quiltmaker. I am thinking of navy sashing with red or yellow cornerstones.
Here is the wedding quilt finished. I gave it to the bride last Saturday and she was thrilled. Details are included on the Finshed Quilts page.

They both look great. I really like Hot Cross Buns and am going to have to see if I've got that copy of Quiltmaker.

Love the jewel box wedding quilt in that lovely controlled colorway. I'm sure the bride was thrilled! Hot Cross Buns looks like a great scrapbusting project.

What a lucky bride!! Beautiful design AND color palette! Love your Hot Cross Buns too although it's tough for me to picture it with a dark sashing seeing it on the light background of the design wall. But I know it'll be wonderful any way you finish it!

I can see why she was thrilled. What a great wedding present. Terrific looking Hot Cross Buns blocks. Of course, I've never seen a pattern by Bonnie Hunter that I didn't want to try!
