Design Wall Monday

I have a new project today. I have been wanting to make a bug bottle quilt for a long time. My friend, Barbara, who owns the local quilt store, gave me a grocery back of bug fabric and two different patterns last year. I cut the fabric up today and have enough to make 8 quilts! I will make a couple myself and get my friends to make the rest. Most of them will go to the Valley of the Moon Children's Home and the San Antonio Childcare Center.
Last night I finished my Ranch Hands 2012 Challenge. Here's a pic, and the back, too. I had extra fabric and made some back art. It's about 42" square. It's also a UFO finish.

Design Wall Monday

This first quilt is for the spring retreat challenge. The challenge fabric is the bird print I fussy cut for the center of the diamonds. I have to find more background fabric so I can finish it the way I want. If I can't, I'll just put a border on it and be done.

This next photo is my bed with my recently completed purple quilt. I made this quilt with the corners cut out to accomodate the posts. Quilts hang so much better this way I think I'll do it from now on. I am very happy with the way this one turned out.
