The final product. Instead of setting triangles I made half blocks for the edges. I couldn't decided what color to use for the triangles. Last night I was considering no borders but this morning it seems so busy that borders will calm it down. I will have to see if I have enough yardage left. These two projects used up most of my stash of early Kaffe Fasset prints and shot cottons.

Design Wall Monday
Last week was a holiday all week and I got a lot done. I worked on my english paper piecing, visitied my daughter for Thanksgiving and finished the following quilts. The first is the one I showed last week, I call it Kaffe's Arrowhead. I decided to make it slightly larger than my original plan so I had to make 21 additional blocks. Final measurement is 93 x 93.
Next I put the borders on the top quilt pictured. This quilt is a gift for my CDW sales rep, who is having a baby next month. On the bottom is the same pattern done in the scraps from Kaffe's Arrowhead. The pattern is called Belgian Waffles and I originally saw it on the Moda Bake Shop blog.

Love those quilts you are working on. Was going to say I liked the top one best, then took a closer look at the others, and now I can't decide, they are all terrific.
ReplyDeleteBoth your quilts are lovely. I really like the colours of each of them. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteGreat colors! I have a love/hate relationship with borders. They take so much time to get perfect but when they are good, they are great. Sometimes not needed and I and use the time to work on another project!
ReplyDeleteLove Kaffe's Arrowhead!
