I haven't posted anything in six weeks because I haven't really worked on anything during that time. Life has been getting in the way. I did start a new project. This will be a wedding gift for a good friend of my daughter. She's getting married in April so I better get going. The pattern is called Beach Party and it's from the second Nickel Quilt book. I changed the four-patch blocks so they would form Xs instead of diagonal stripes.
I also made a trip to the Valley of the Moon Children's Home last Friday and dropped off 29 quilts, pictured below. I dropped off 6 quilts at the San Antonio Childcare Center earlier in the week, not pictured.

By changing them...I think it now looks like a 'Jewel Box' design. I've seen Jinny Beyer's.

looks great!
I love those Nickel books. I posted about one on my Design Wall Monday today.
Your daughter's friend will love the quilt, I'm sure.
I made this same pattern Beach Party in '06. (A link if you want to see it http://www.kwiltnkats.com/Classes/Katchu.JPG). I like your fabric choices. It is certainly going to be an excellent wedding gift that anyone would cherish. Did you make all the donation quilts? Regardless a time wonderfully spent giving makes for a wonderful feeling. Sandi
